FAQ:  Do you sell your +AddVance study materials on CD or in a pre-printed format?

No.  We do not sell our +AddVance study materials on either CD or as a pre-printed book.  Our +AddVance E-books are currently available only as an electronic download (E-book).  We do this to offer a serious competitive advantage in terms of price, speed of delivery, quality and other features, with all the benefits being passed onto the customer/student.

Price – as an electronic download we keep our overheads to a minimum, so we can sell our +AddVance E-books to you as the customer at highly competitive and reduced rates - even as much as up to 90% off our standard RRP.  Likewise, there is no additional hefty delivery charge for such heavy printed books.  Our delivery is free via instant download.

Speed of delivery – no need to wait days or even weeks for your materials to arrive in the post.  Our +AddVance E-books are available to download instantly from our website.

Quality – we are not restricted by size.  Whilst other printed books may have to physically contain everything within a specific bound size, we have the flexibility to write in depth and go further, without physical restrictions.  We offer a fully comprehensive and high quality learning product.

Flexibility – when the syllabus changes, our products can change too.  Unlike potential competitors, we do not need to sell our remaining printed stock before launching the revised editions.  When the syllabus changes we can adapt quickly to meet those changes.

Portability – no need to carry around heavy physical textbooks.  All our +AddVance E-books are electronic.

FAQ: 
Can I transfer the +AddVance E-book from one computer to another? 

This is an important point and you should understand it before purchasing any of our +AddVance E-book publications.  Just like any company attempts to protect its copyright, we secure our own electronic rights by using advanced Digital Rights Management (DRM) techniques which means that we disable your ability to transfer the digital data from one computer to another.  

Our +AddVance E-books require you to activate a license before you are able to view the study material.  In doing so, the license locks ALL your future +AddVance E-books to THAT computer from which you first activated the license.

From your view, it is rather simple.  You will download an +AddVance E-book and activate the license on your computer, but then will be unable to transfer it to any other computer, be it yours or your friend’s.  The +AddVance E-book will remain stored on your computer’s hard-drive until you decide to erase it like any other file.

If you want to use another separate computer, we regret that you would first need to re-register on our website with a new email address and login details, then purchase the +AddVance E-book again (but this time using your new login details) to download to your new computer.  If you simply tried to purchase another copy of the +AddVance E-book using your existing login details, our system would prevent you from activating it and using it on that new computer.  It is intelligent to recognise which computer is licensed and registered to your existing login details, and you would have just wasted that second purchase.

FAQ:  What if I want to view my new +AddVance E-book on both my Laptop AND Desktop?

If you want to use another separate computer, we regret that you would first need to re-register on our website with a new email address and login details, then purchase the +AddVance E-book again (but this time using your new login details) to download to your new computer.  If you simply tried to purchase another copy of the +AddVance E-book using your existing login details, our system would prevent you from activating it and using it on that new computer.  It is intelligent to recognise which computer is licensed and registered to your existing login details, and you would have just wasted that second purchase.

FAQ:  How do I solve the browser software error "Invalid document version.  Supported version by viewer is (e.g.) 7, document version is (e.g.) 8"  when trying to open an +AddVance E-book?

This message appears if you are trying to open a recently published +AddVance E-book on an older version of our software browser.  A browser software update is required.  Generally your browser software will periodically ask you if you want to check for updates, or alternatively you can manually check for latest version updates by going to the “Help” tab in the software browser and selecting “Check for Programme Updates”.

FAQ:  How do I solve the browser software error "No more licenses are available for you, please contact your publisher." when activating my license?

This message appears when you are trying to activate a license that has already been established and activated.  You can only activate your license once and should only be done on the computer you wish to continuously read our +AddVance E-books from.  Activation is just a simple case of double clicking the license file.  If you have activated the license on the wrong computer, it cannot be reversed.  Be sure to do it only once and on the computer you wish to read from.

You can contact technical@tonysurridge.co.uk and if there is a genuine fault with the failure of the license activation and our systems show such a fault, then we can re-issue you with another license.

If you wish to read your purchased +AddVance E-books on more than one computer, you will need to re-register on the www.tonysurridge.co.uk website under a different login and email address to purchase additional separate licenses.  You will need a different login and email address for each new computer you wish to activate a new license with.  For more details see the FAQs:

FAQ:  How do I solve the browser software error "You do not have authority to access these study materials" when trying to open an +AddVance E-book?
 
The license for your +AddVance E-books (which is attached in one of the two emails sent to you at purchase) needs to be activated before you are allowed access to view any +AddVance E-book. If you are seeing this error message, then it would appear that you have not activated your license, or you are not authorised to view that particular +AddVance E-book

If you believe you have activated that license correctly and are entitled/authorised to view that particular +AddVance E-book, then you can contact technical@tonysurridge.co.uk for further assistance.

FAQ:  Why do the E-book Download Links, that were originally emailed to me when I first purchased, no longer work?

REASON:
When a customer first receives the email containing the download link for their new E-book, they are directed to click on that download link to open the E-book and to then save the file to their computer hard-drive when prompted.  Normally a pop-up message will appear (depending on which Windows operating system is used) asking the customer to either “open” the file or “save” the file.  We suggest that the file is saved to the computer, so that it can be opened directly each time it is used, rather than having to be accessed from the email each time.

If these customers are STILL opening their purchased E-books from the email link, rather than first saving the file to their computer, when we update our E-books (as we do periodically) and post them on our internet server, the old download links become invalid and will no longer work.

SOLUTION:
For those customers who have not saved (cannot save, or do not want to save) the E-book on their computer, and STILL open their E-book(s) each time from a download link, we have created a new webpage for their purposes.  This webpage contains the download links for all E-book versions - old and new.  Using this system, customers will always be able to access their purchased E-books without problems, regardless of any of our updates and changes.

Please note:  You will NOT be able to download and access ALL versions shown on that webpage.  You will only be able to access the version which you have paid for.  The easy-to-use table shown on that webpage, identifies which download link is applicable to each E-book a customer has purchased and depends on the date they purchased it.

FAQ:  How do I know if I have administrative rights on my computer?

To determine if you have administrative rights on Microsoft Windows operating system, right-click on the Start button in the bottom left corner (or right-click on "startup" in the "all programmes" list if using Windows7).  If the menu that pops up has "Open All Users" and "Explore All Users", then you have administrative rights.  If you do not have administrative rights, please contact your IT department (or the person who owns the computer who should have administrative rights) about installing our Viewer software (the software platform required to read our protected E-books).  Please note, our +AddVance E-book software prevents use on networked computer systems.
