Buying and using our ACCA based Accountancy Study E-books couldn't be easier.  A lot of time has been spent in software construction, visual design and layout, and writing style, to make your studies easier and more manageable. 

Important restrictions and requirements – READ BEFORE BUYING 

In order to buy, download, and access our ACCA based study E-books you need to meet the following requirements, and understand any potential restrictions

1. You need a private home computer/laptop, briefly connected to the internet - NOT a networked computer like an internet café computer, university/college computer, library computer, or work computer etc.
2. Your computer must be a PC and NOT a MAC - we cannot provide access to MAC users at this time.
3. Your computer must run on "Microsoft Windows operating system":  Windows 2000 (with service pack 3 or higher), Windows 2003, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
4. You must have administrative rights on your Microsoft Windows operating system. (Most private home computers will have administrative rights as standard) To find out if you have administrative rights on your “Microsoft Windows operating system” please click here for a quick check.
5. You need a valid working email address to register on our website - MAKE SURE you have access to that email account on your private home computer/laptop.  i.e. Do not register with a work email address if you cannot access it on your private home computer.
6. You will need to install a one-off piece of software which is the viewing platform required to read our protected E-books. Our E-books will not work with ordinary PDF viewers such as Adobe Reader. This viewing software will be emailed to you at point of purchase.
7. When you register and buy an E-book for the first time, you are issued a single-use software license.  You only receive 1x single-use software license per registered email address on our website  (i.e. per registered customer account, NOT per E-book bought).  You must activate that single-use software license on your chosen private home computer. Once activated, only E-books bought through THAT registered customer account will open on THAT computer. (i.e. you can’t open other E-books your friend might have bought from us separately.) Likewise, once the license is used, you cannot transfer and access your purchased E-books on any other computer. Effectively, all E-books bought through that customer account will only work on THAT activated computer and no other computer. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ACTIVATE YOUR 1-USER LICENSE CORRECTLY ON THE COMPUTER YOU WISH TO STUDY FROM.  Mistakes with licensing, (incorrect activation) cannot be reversed and we cannot issue you free licenses or offer refunds on softsware sales - you will need to rebuy a new license.
8. If you want to use your purchased E-books on another computer as well (e.g. your laptop as well as your desktop), you will have to buy an additional license for activation on that separate computer.  This can be bought through our website (same as the E-books), there is a product in our catalogue called "additional license".  However, unlike the E-books, delivery of the additional license is not automatic, and a member of staff will have to manually email you with your additional license file shortly after purchase.  Your additional license will allow you to access all your previously bought E-books, AND all your future E-books on that new computer.  PLEASE NOTE: If you simply buy 2 copies of the same E-book, through the same customer account, it will NOT provide you with another software license, and it will be an unnecessary duplicate purchase which we cannot refund. 
9. If you ever need to re-install/re-format your computer from scratch, for any reason, you will be deleting your software license.  We cannot offer additional free licenses on that basis (it is the responsibility of the customer to suitably maintain your own computers).  Our systems will then regard your newly re-formatted computer as if it were a new separate computer to the one previously activated, and will prevent you from opening your E-books correctly.  You will need to buy an additional license - see point 8 above.
10. We do allow printing for private, non-commercial use.  Make sure you have a printer hard-wired to the computer with the activated software license.  We do not allow distribution of printed materials to others (freely or otherwise) without prior written permission and continued agreement from tonysurridge.co.uk.  Customers wishing to print our and distribute must contact admin@tonysurridge.co.uk regarding our Coporate Supplier services and Franchise scheme.  Some wireless printers may not work.  Print-outs will come with a Tony Surridge copyright watermark.  

PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the nature of the software industry we cannot offer any refunds on E-book purchases.  Please make sure you meet the requirements and understand the restrictions above.  Any technical problems or queries can be address via technical@tonysurridge.co.uk
