We offer a focused range of conference seminars covering vital accountancy and finance management areas at numerous locations throughout the world. These training packages have been selected to fit the profile of managers and other people who need to explore and understand the work, professional jargon and practices and principles involved in accountancy and finance. In today’s environment of integrated e-business value-chain management it is a vital training need for all managers to understand finance, and the techniques and methods related to it. By focusing on narrow, and particular, areas of accountancy and financial expertise we have built a firm foundation of expertise, practical know-how and a keen ability to present this vital training in very meaningful ways. In this regard, we consider ourselves not to be ‘a jack of all trades’ but rather ‘a master of few’!
Our conference seminars are designed and developed to open the eyes of managers on just how simple it is to understand modern financial systems, the work of people operating in them, to demystify and make sense of their working practices, and to be comfortable with jargon that is often a source of confusion for people at work. Our Workshop seminars consist of training sessions for managers wishing to update their knowledge and develop ideas.
We are always mindful that we are training people who often only have a ‘lay’ knowledge of the topics being covered. Each of our business seminars gives an excellent overview of the accounting and finance subject being examined, yet with enough of the specifics for determining a solid business understanding. Our business seminar packages are extremely beneficial in giving all the pointers required for delegates to fully understand and interpret the goals, practices and jargon of the work involved in the areas covered. Our seminars provide for in-depth training of a focused area of financial management.
All course outlines are available online on this website: www.tonysurridge.co.uk (you can download the PDF right now). In each course outline there is a section ‘Who should attend’ describing the type of person the seminar is designed for. This information plus the course outline should help you identify whether the course is suitable for your needs.
Public, or open, courses reduce the cost of having to arrange a group of staff with similar training needs, necessary to stage a bespoke in-house training programme. They allow people to attend training as separate individuals at a time suitable for their work patterns, and share experiences, network and learn with people from a variety of different organisations, industries, job responsibilities and backgrounds.
In-house courses are value for money and provide an extremely effective way of training a group of your employees who have similar learning needs. Whether you are a small group or an entire department we can offer you effective bespoke training tailored to your needs, at a time suited to you and of course in your premises or at a venue of your choice. We can:
Contact us by e-mail at seminars@tonysurridge.co.uk and please provide details about your situation. One of our experts will be in touch and will help you select the right course for your development needs.

Alternatively, contact us by e-mail at seminars@tonysurridge.co.uk and we will advise you on the seats available for your chosen training session. Please understand that our business seminars book up fast. If there is no space currently available on a particular seminar you like, you can still register your interest and we will send you full details immediately our 2009/2010 programme is released.

We will happily provide any training package or seminar as an in-house option, either at your doorstep, at a venue of your choice or one we arrange. With our extensive network throughout the training industry we can also resource and supply any subject at any level using any kind of training you require. Details about the ‘In-House Training’ services are available on our website.
Each of our in-house training packages is specifically developed and designed for the particular needs of the organisation involved. That’s why as soon as you contact us (seminars@tonysurridge.co.uk) you will be assigned your key account manager, who will work closely alongside you to establish how we can best enable you to achieve your training strategy within your training budget. Remember, we can deliver any business seminar or provide any customised package on any programme pertinent to your organisation’s goals – no matter how large or small.
Our study material is soundly researched and we issue an unabridged workbook, which includes ‘worked’ case-studies with step-by-step guidelines. To enable participants to receive the very latest information, we are often updating our documentation in the few days leading up to the business seminar.
Our course material is copyright and therefore cannot be copied. However, we do sell our course material on request. Please contact our Seminars Registrar (seminars@tonysurridge.co.uk or phone 0044 – (0)2071 83 63 93).
Our programmes – both what you see, hear and receive in writing – are fully copyrighted by Tony Surridge Online Ltd. No audio recording or videotaping, please.
Our registration table opens at 8.30 am on the first day. We begin each day’s seminar at 9.30 am (on the dot) and wrap up at 5.00pm. Lunch is on your own from 12.30pm – 1.20pm. We provide two breaks of 15 minutes in the morning and afternoon sessions during which refreshments are provided.
Feedback from our participants indicates that 9.30 am to 5.00pm are the times most suitable for the largest number of attendees. Many participants have to add hours of travelling time to the seminar day and a start time before 9.30 am would not be feasible for them. We like to provide a 6-hour contact-time conference day and therefore with relaxation breaks (1 hour for lunch + ¼ hour morning break + ¼ hour afternoon break) we aim to end each day promptly at 5.00 pm.
No, we do not provide lunch. Feedback from our participants indicates that many people do not want full meals at midday.
There is no dress code for Tony Surridge Seminars. The business semianrs are meant to be enjoyable and relaxing as well as giving you high quality training. Most people who attend our seminars feel most comfortable in smart casual clothing.
In most cases you’ll require a pocket calculator (and this will be indicated in your joining instructions). The only other thing you need to bring is your Admission Letter which is part of your joining instructions. If your invoice is not yet settled you will also need to bring either a Credit card, Sterling cheque, Sterling cash, Travellers cheque or evidence of a bank credit transfer (BACS), in settlement of the full payment.
We strictly limit participants to ensure each person receives the best possible training experience, but size does vary from seminar to seminar. The maximum group size is 20, but the average is 6 - 12.
No, we do not permit the use of mobile telephones during the conference time because of the adverse effect it has on the teaching experience of the other participants. Your telephone needs should be reserved for the ample relaxation times provided during the day.
The person should call on 0044 – (0) 2071 83 63 93 or the local emergency telephone number included in your joining instructions, and the message will be passed on to our staff at the training venue. In an emergency the seminar will be interrupted, otherwise you will be passed the message in the first available break.
All our business seminars use hotel meeting rooms and facilities. We do our best to find seminar facilities that have all the pluses we look for: convenient location, great meeting rooms, comfortable seating, good air conditioning, courteous staff and where possible plenty of free parking, although this is not guaranteed. However, some facilities have paid parking. Failing this, we provide details of the nearest public car parks which are often just round the corner. Information concerning car parking is provided in our joining instructions. We are not responsible for paying for car parking or congestion charges (where applicable) and do not recommend driving to city-centre venues. We also do our best to find venues with good and easy public transport links for those who want to travel this way.
All our business seminars use hotel meeting rooms and facilities. In the case of a two day or more seminar we will ensure that you receive the best rates for the hotel we use.
We use electronic teaching aids (such as power-point presentation) linked to course notes issued to participants. We reduce the need for participants to make their own notes. However a notepad will be provided in case you want to make your own notes.
You won’t go home empty handed. You’ll leave your seminar workshop with a Certificate of Attendance and a soundly researched, unabridged work book which includes worked case-studies with step-by-step guidelines.
We work hard before, on and after the seminar to make sure you achieve your career objectives. We believe in your success. If, after attending the seminar, you’re faced with a problem and don’t know who to turn to –then turn to us. Simply send a brief outline of your difficulty or question and one of our experts will do their best to help.
All our business seminar workshops are delivered by highly qualified, experienced and specialist trainers. For short one-three day seminars one trainer is involved. We choose only experts who have a proven track record of training effectiveness, professionalism, experience and dedication. What’s more, they’re exciting communicators who’ll provide you with an interesting and stimulating training experience.
Our trainers come from a range of backgrounds specific to the industry and areas of expertise covered by the seminar. They are a select group of people at the top of their profession – skilled teachers with a tremendous depth of knowledge and ‘know how’ in their respective areas.
Top-notch trainers and comprehensive study course materials ensure a quality learning experience that awaits you at every Tony Surridge training programme – two reasons that many companies choose us to train their people and why our clients say nice things about our services. You’ll find many testimonials from satisfied clients on our web site (www.tonysurridge.co.uk/testimonials).
Our commitment is to provide you with the highest-quality learning experience possible and to provide for yourself the positive effects of powerful ideas skilfully presented so that you can be the best you can be.
We use minimum paper-based direct marketing – you’re reading this on-line right now! Where possible we encourage people to enrol by using e-mail and our on-line web site so that less paper is used, and hence less trees are cut down. We use electronic teaching aids which also reduces the amount of flip-chart paper and difficult to dispose of, white board markers. We attempt to ensure that our training materials are printed on 100% post-used recycled paper.
We also look to provide support for students in Developing Countries, who are studying for professional qualifications, by providing on-line tuition at peppercorn rates, often reducing their costs by up to 90% of comparable competitive services.
