ACCA Study - Looking ahead to 2010…
2010 will see in three new examiners – for accountancy papers ACCA F5, ACCA F8, and ACCA P4. The new Performance Management examiner is Ann Irons who was the examiner of CAT Paper 10 which orientates closer to F9 than F5 thus reducing the leverage to post-audit her previous questions. We trust that she uses the tremendous scope available for such a paper to reflect the practical problems that managers face in the current business situation. The ACCA Audit and Assurance F8’s new examiner is Pami Bahl and the Advanced FM paper examiner is Shishir Malde. Although these new examiners only reviewed the December 2009 exams, for 2010 we should all be thinking new examiner. Eyes must be fixed on the ACCA website - soon the new examiners will be laying out their wares.
2010 will see ACCA students having to adopt flexible study programmes that balance with their increasing workplace pressures. Commitment, time-management and a proactive focus on issues of importance will be of core importance in the achievement of exam success. The adage ‘Three-years of hard study for thirty years of benefit’ will be a useful driver for the over-worked ACCA student in 2010.
Evidence shows that in 2010 there will be a massive move of ACCA students to online learning involvement. Although students often have a preference for traditional classroom and paper-based learning systems, technology can play a pivotal role in providing low-cost complementary tutorial aids, presenting ‘second views’, and allowing ‘catch-up’ for students who have to miss training sessions.
ACCA Students will have everything to aim for in 2010…
