The IT crowd
The Scottish Institute is trying to push the barriers about exam delivery. In May last year it ran a pilot allowing TPE students to use their own laptops to sit the exams. That is a UK first. By November last year some 30% of candidates were sitting exams that way. Now ICAS plans further expansion.
ICAS obviously sees technology as the way forward. CAable is its new blended learning environment. A pilot with PwC started in September, and further consultations and developments will continue in 2010.
