Trainee accountant Paul Chambers tweet to his 600 followers got him its serious hot water recently – and even the sack! After discovering that his local airport was covered in snow he sent a message: “Crap! Robin Hood Airport is closed. You’ve got a week and a bit to get your shit together, otherwise I’m blowing the airport sky high.”
An off-duty airport manager saw the tweet and reported Chambers, who was found guilt at Doncaster Magistrates Court of sending a public electronic message that was grossly offensive or of a menacing nature, contrary to the Communications Act 2003.
