Fears of double dip growing
A Deloitte chief finance officers (CFO) survey has revealed there has been a dramatic fall in confidence as fear of a ‘double dip’ recession increases. Some 38% of CFOs now believe we are heading for another recession. Deloitte’s own economist was more optimistic. Ian Stewart felt that the chance of a double dip recession was more 20/80. This news comes after the FTSE 100 suffered one of its worse weeks in two months, dropping by 4% over the five trading days.
