Inspiring talent
A perfect academic record might not be the only way of spotting future talent, admits PwC. To a certain extent the firm is challenging its own previous assumptions by changing its assessment route, with the introduction of the Inspired Talent scheme.
The scheme will, of course, work alongside the firm’s established graduate recruitment programme. Currently, depending on the role, applicants to PwC’s graduate scheme are required to have between 280-340 UCAS points tariff and a class 2.1 degree.
Inspired Talent candidates will need to complete online tests and submit a business case to demonstrate their drive, resilience, entrepreneurialism and commercial acumen. Online tests including numeracy and judgement skills will rigorously assess ‘intellectual capacity’, explained PwC.
