Meet the newly qualifieds

There are another 1,750 newly qualified ACA’s on the market, following the release of the ICAEW advanced stage. The institute’s Mark Protherough tried to sell his new members: “In the current economic climate the role of the finance professional is proving to be more and more important.” In all some 3,685 students sat the final stage exams. Those sitting all three papers for the first time achieved a 64% pass rate. Joint first place in the order of merit went to two Deloitte PQs – Andrew Surrell and Neil Dawson. Deloitte’s Daniel Park from Leamington Spa gave the firm a clean sweep of the podium with his third place.
