Two of the Big 4 have just moved into spanking new buildings – KPMG in Canary Wharf and PwC at More London, south of the river.
The firms seemed to have picked up a lot of positive publicity for their green approaches. KPMG has, for instance, reduced the number of premises it owns/rents in the capital from five to two. There are also apparently no offices at the new building – just workstations! Not even for the partners we hear. The building also has a gas-fired generator, which reduces the reliance on mains electricity. Not to be outdone PwC has apparently opted to run its building on chip fat! So in future there will be a way to tell accountants apart!
