Former KPMG trainee Vikas Gupta has been banned from provisional membership. Just as well really as he had claimed £25,597 worth of fraudulent expenses to pay off his online gambling habit. The Manchester PQ was apparently on a six-month contract after failing his exams (perhaps he sent too much time online). An ICAEW tribunal made no order to pay back costs and said he was ineligible to re-register with the institute for 12 months. PQ was confused by this ruling. Does that mean after a year this PQ could reapply to the ICAEW!
